DawnPrep

Terms of Service

Effective July 25, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and John Wang, a sole proprietor in Texas ("we", "us"), for the use of DawnPrep. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Please also read our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and where it goes. It is part of this agreement.

This is an early test version

DawnPrep is early software, still being built and tested. It is free to use right now. Features may change or disappear, data may be reset, and the service may be unavailable without warning. We do not promise any level of uptime, and we may end the test at any time.

Who can use it

  • You must be at least thirteen years old. If you create your own account from our signup page, you confirm this when you sign up. Accounts created for you by a parent, and accounts created by signing in with a link or with Google from the sign-in page, are not asked at that moment. We ask afterwards, inside the app, and that account cannot study until it answers. The Privacy Policy explains exactly what we do and do not check.
  • If you are under eighteen, you should have your parent or guardian read these terms with you.
  • One account is for one person. Do not share your account or your password.
  • You are responsible for what happens on your account, and for keeping your password to yourself. Tell us if you think someone else has access to it.
  • The email address on your account must be one you actually control.

Parent and guardian accounts

A parent account can be linked to a student account, either by inviting the student to accept, or by creating the student account directly.

  • If you create a parent account, you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of each student you link to, and that you have the authority to set up an account on their behalf.
  • If you create a student’s account for them, you choose their email address and their starting password, and the account is linked to yours from the moment it is created. You are responsible for telling the student that the account exists and that you can see their work.
  • A linked parent can see the student’s study activity and results, and can set the student’s goals and targets. The Privacy Policy sets out exactly what that covers.
  • While a link is in place, the student cannot change their own goals, and cannot remove the link on their own. A student can request removal, and the parent decides.
  • Removing a link ends the parent’s access through the link. It does not delete the student’s account or their data, and it does not change the account password. Where a parent created the account, they chose that password, so a student in that position should set their own.

We do not verify that a parent account is held by an adult, and we do not verify that a claimed guardian relationship is real. We rely on what you tell us.

Acceptable use

Do not:

  • Copy, republish, resell, or redistribute our practice questions, walkthroughs, or explanations.
  • Scrape the service, or use automated tools to pull content out of it.
  • Try to get at other people’s accounts or data, or at answer keys for questions you have not answered.
  • Attack, overload, probe, or otherwise interfere with the service or the people using it.
  • Use the tutor to generate content that is illegal, harassing, or has nothing to do with studying.
  • Misrepresent who you are, including claiming to be a parent or guardian of someone you are not.

Our content

The practice questions, passages, figures, walkthroughs, and explanations in the service are original material created for this product. They are not College Board material, are not retired or leaked exam questions, and are not licensed from anyone.

SAT and Digital SAT are trademarks of the College Board, which is not affiliated with, and does not endorse, this product.

The service and everything in it, including the DawnPrep name and logo, belongs to us or to our licensors. We give you permission to use the service for your own studying, personally and non-commercially, for as long as your account is open. That permission does not transfer any ownership to you.

AI-generated content

The panda tutor, the walkthrough steps, and the study director are generated by AI models. Their output has not been reviewed by a person before you see it, and it can be wrong, incomplete, or misleading, including on questions where the final answer is right.

Treat it as a study aid, not as an authority. Do not rely on it for anything outside studying, and never for medical, legal, or financial questions. Walkthrough steps and tutor replies each carry a report control, and reporting a bad one is genuinely useful to us. Replies from the study director do not carry one yet.

No promise about your scores

We do not guarantee that using this service will raise your SAT score, or change your score at all. We make no promise about any particular score, score increase, admission outcome, scholarship, or any other result. Score estimates shown in the app are produced by our own model from your practice work. If you or your parent enter an official practice-test score, that score is also blended into the Math estimate, and a recent one carries substantial weight. These estimates are not official scores, they are not produced or endorsed by the College Board, and they may differ substantially from what you get on a real test.

What you put into the service

Your answers, notes, reports, and messages stay yours. You give us permission to store and use them to run the service, to answer you, and to find and fix problems with our questions and explanations. We do not use your content to advertise to you.

Do not put sensitive personal information into free-text boxes such as report notes or tutor messages. There is no reason to, and we would rather not hold it.

Ending your account

You can stop using the service at any time. You can delete your account yourself from the settings panel, under Account. It happens immediately and permanently, with no grace period and no way for us to undo it. The privacy policy describes exactly what deletion removes and the one record that survives it.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that we believe belongs to someone under thirteen, or where we are required to. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you first.

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its content will be accurate.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost opportunities, or academic outcomes, arising out of your use of the service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to one hundred US dollars. The service is currently free, so there are no fees to refund.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we do, we will change the date at the top of this page, and for material changes we will tell account holders by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Texas.

This section is not final. The operating entity and its home state have not been settled yet.
